Its molecular formula is C8H16NCl with molecular weight of 161.5. It is soluble in water, ethanol and isobutyl alcohol, and insoluble in ester, ketone and hydrocarbon. At various pH levels, it is stable, not easy to hydrolysis and not flammable. Moreover, it can be used to conduct solution and emulsion polymerization to form linear homopolymer and various multipolymer. If there is not self-polymerization, liquid acrylamide over storage life would still be usable.
